Soon enough, we'll have the entire internet resting on our cornea. Sony has patented contact lenses that have the ability to take pictures and record videos. We have people on this planet smart enough to create a medium (Facebook, Twitter, etc) that brings nearly 1/2 of the entire world's population together. We can communicate around the globe in a fraction of a second. And how many amazing technologies are blackballed, or never come to fruition because they would shake up the status quo of big oil, big pharm, and similar? It's sad knowing how we *could* be living if we didn't have this monetary roadblock in our way.Īnd sticking to my word, offering at least one alternative solution. Millions die because of political posturing/wars to ultimately obtain the resources or some other monetary gain. Animals slaughtered so we can have cute ivory jewelry and knick knacks, or some shark fin soup. Our drinking supplies are polluted because it costs money to dispose of it properly. But we also know that pretty much everything wrong (with the direction we're headed) is because we're taught to worship money and the "winners" of life are the ones who obtain/consume the most goods before they die.
Do you think humanity has any chance as long as money remains the single motivator for the masses? Sure, money has inspired some people to accomplish amazing things. It's simple for all of us to complain about the problems, but I've always told my son that bitching/complaining is pointless without offering an alternative solution. Obviously I don't know you guys, but what I hear via the lyrics/music is a group of enlightened men who have enough humility to see the bigger picture and realize that the path we're on (raping the planet for our personal gain) as a species is one with a bleak outlook. Many bands have amazing musical parts, but fall short when it comes to substance and conveying anything in their lyrics.

We will have some surprises and fun stuff but this is the main record.
